Top 5 Baby Boy Shower Themes

When Mom is expecting a bouncing baby boy, you have lots of options when it comes to choosing a shower theme. In this hub, I've written about my five favorite baby boy choices. The bottom line is that there are many choices beyond the same old traditional blue, blue and more blue.

Jungle animals and baby boys go together like lions and tigers. By incorporating the theme into the tableware, balloons and cake, your guests will surely have a "roaring" good time!

To make this theme work, consider making the shower area into a safari type environment. Play games like jungle animal charades or Name the Jungle animal babies. For food, a safari themed cake or cupcakes is essential. But also add in animal crackers and use animal shaped cookie cutters to cut-out your finger sandwiches. The possibilities are endless.

With the farm animal theme, you have several options when it comes to the tableware. You can choose a more pastel pattern or you can go with a classic red, black and white color scheme like the one shown in the photo. The latter tends to work better when you want to decorate with farm print balloons or use a farm theme into the gift (e.g. the Playskool barnyard).

Incorporate this theme by making a pig or cow cake along with food shaped like farm animals. For games, consider a baby animals word search or name game. An old MacDonald themed welcome wagon or diaper cake would be an excellent gift choice.
